Munā

Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in a c. 1230 CE deathbed will from Sitt al-Dalāl bt. Ḥananel, who possibly arranges for Munā to be manumitted "but the phrasing is ambiguous," according to Perry. Sitt al-Dalāl may have endowed various items to Munā as part of her will, but much of the document is missing.
