Description / Bio

Maghribiyya enslaved woman who was sold by Shelomo b. Ṣemaḥ, the physician, to Yūsuf b. ʿAlī in February 1105 CE. Ḥadaq (or Ḥidhq) is listed in the document as a "westerner (Maghribiyya), possibly indicating Libyan (or the Fezzān more specifically)."
