Descendant of Moshe Maimonides (d. 1204 CE), David II served as Nagid ca. 1355–1410 CE. David II was a third great-grandson of the Rambam: David II b. Yehoshuaʿ b. Avraham II b. David b. Avraham b. Moshe Maimonides.
