Description / Bio

Mail carrier transporting letters from Jerusalem to Fustat in the second half of the eleventh century. He transported several letters to Nahray b. Nissim (fl. 1050-96). His son ʿUmar b. Yūsuf is frequently named alongside him in letters as a fellow mail carrier.
