Letter/petition of appeal for charity from a woman ("al-mamlūka"). Very damaged; unclear if any of the substance of the request is preserved. Mentions an appeal to the addressee's charity (min ṣadaqatika. . . ); a request to be informed of something (an yuʿrif al-mamlūka in kānat. . .); her occupation with housework (shughl al-bayt); her request to be honored by being tasked with something (fa-hiya tashtahī al-tasharruf (or: al-sharaf) bi-qaḍāʾ. . .); the addressee's benefaction with a response either with a yes or a no (min inʿāmika al-jawāb. . . immā naʿm wa-immā lā. . .). There is also one line of effaced script on verso, maybe the address.
