תיאור

Beginning of an engagement document for Shelomo b. Raḥamīm Khamīṣ/Ḥamīṣ(?) and the orphan Sarah bt. Aharon Ḥīdīf. Undated, but pre-1830/1831 CE based on Sarah's later ketubba. The scribe abandoned the engagement document after 6 lines. Sarah was represented by her unnamed grandmother in arranging the terms of her engagement. Although it is unclear if Sarah eventually married Shelomo, for her c. 1831 ketubba and marriage with Yiṣḥaq b. Shemuʾel ha-Levi, see: BL OR 5543.12 (PGPID 31335). MCD.
