Recto: Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic. Dating; 11th century. Seems to be a list of debts (duyūn). The sums are quite large: - Yeshuʿa, in Damsīs: 36 (dinars) - Hūr(?) b. Yaḥyā, in Ṣahrajt: 25 dinars; his signature for this is with ʿAllūn - Isḥāq b. [...], in al-Maḥalla, 36 dinars "and change"; his signature for this is with Murajjā - Shemuel, in al-Maḥalla: 36 dinars; his signature for this is with Murajjā - Menashshe al-Kohen, in Nimra (near al-Maḥalla), (for?) 10 raṭls of old muṣallab (a kind of silk): 22 dinars - Hārūn, in Matbūl (near Nimra), (for?) 1/8 of khazāj (a kind of silk): 29 dinars - the last entry mentions a cantor but is tricky to read. Verso: a different sort of mercantile account, and seems to be in a different hand. There are two sections at 180 degrees to each other. Itemizing the expenses for shipping pepper and flax via Rosetta (Rashīd). Mentions bribes (barṭīl) costs for the ship, and the son of Nahray.
