תיאור

Verso: Letter in Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic. Addressed to Netan[ʾel] b. Ḥalfon ha-Levi. Mostly consists of salutations and praises. The sender reports that he has met with the ḥaver Ṣedaqa, who reported that his children are well. After more salutations, in the Judaeo-Arabic section, he says that he is in great need of something and asks the addressee to fulfill his promise. In the margin, greetings to Moshe and Abū Yaʿqūb. On recto there is a dirge (an earlier use of the fragment?), followed by a postscript telling the addressee of the letter on verso not to be perturbed by the presence of a dirge on his letter: ואל יקשה בעיני זקינינו שכתוב בכתבך קינה כי כן אמרו רבותינו זל כל המקונן ומתאבל על ירושלם זוכה לנחמתה רבתי שמחו את ירושלים וגילו בה כל אוהביה שישו איתה משוש.
