Legal fragments in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe. Clockwise from upper right: (a) A scrap mentioning Musallam b. Ayyūb (appears also in T-S 8J15.25 (PGPID 7660)) and listing quantities of materia medica (כבאבה, דאר צין). (b) A legal testimony left incomplete (one of the names is not filled in) describing a fight between two people and the intervention of the 'righteous elders.' Dating: refers to Ḥeshvan 1429 Seleucid = 1117 CE. (c) End of a legal testimony dated [...]7 Seleucid in Fustat. One of the interlinear additions on the now lost portion is "and I will be exempt / he will not obligate me to pay the government customs (maks al-sulṭān)." (d) Jotted notes mentioning commercial goods, probably for the sake of drawing up a legal document. Verso is a legal document involving Yaḥyā ha-Kohen and [Abū] l-Mufaḍḍal. (e) Small fragment of a legal document dated [14]27 Seleucid = 1115/16 CE. No details preserved.
