Letter of appeal or recommendation for charity, probably. In Judaeo-Arabic. Written in a large square script in a crude hand. Confusingly, there are two addresses. In one, Yaʿaqov b. Yiṣḥaq greets 'the community.' In the other, it states that the cantor Saʿadya b. Ṣedaqa is sending this letter from Minyat Zifta to 'my masters and elders, the people of Jūjar.' The letter itself requires further examination for content. Reused on verso for the Samaritan alphabet, and unidentified marginalia. (Information in part from CUDL)
