  1. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم توكلت على الله

  2. كتب مملوك سيدنا القاضي الاجل المكين سيد الوزرا وتاج الاصفياء

  3. قاضي القضـ]ـاة وداعي الدعاة علم المجد عمدة الدين امير المؤمنـ[ـين

  4. اطال الله بقاه وادام علاه وتمكينه و…. بسطته (؟)

  5. وكبت [حسدته و]اعداه من طاهر الخيرة (؟) انسلاخ ذي الحجة عن وا[

  6. حضرته السامية زاد (؟) نقيصته (؟) وسعادة ما… بعده والحـ[

  7. سلامة ونعمة وامور مستقيمة في ظل الدولة النبوية المنصورة خلد الله

  8. وبسعادة هذه الايام النيرة اني اسئل الله بان يمنح سعادة المسلمـ[ـين 

  9. اني اسئل الله ان يديمها وكبت شانيها عزة و…..

  1.  وورد على مملوكه رسالة مجلس الوزارة الاجل ثبت الله

  2.  علي يد عبيده مختومة (؟) مقابل و …يقلد الامير مخزن وعلى…  

  3.  ..قون بما قويت به منيته واشتدت عزيمته وابتهل

  4. ضارعا الى الله سبحانه في ادامة نظره واطالة عمر[ه

  5.  وارتفاع قدره هو يقدر [و؟]  مستجيبه ومتقبله

  6.  فيقبل المملوك ما امره بالسمع والطاعة مزورا

 الحمد لله رب اما بعد فان امير المؤمنين…

  1.  منتهى انه ويحقق حينيذ .وارا الانعام عليه..

  2. والبحر وتسير الحجج والسفر وهذا قـ[

  3. مملوكه ويلزمه ويتعين عليه في طاعة الدولة اسوته مجلس

  4. الوزارة الاجل شادت(؟) عزه.       وقد القى المملوك

  5. الى عبيده الواصلة رسالته حضرته السامية جرت[          عـ]ـزها

  6.       ]ما يذكراه بها سوالها مما لا يحتمله المكاتبة

  2. and the sea, and send emissaries and ambassadors, and this..[

  3. His slave, and that which is incumbent upon him, and imposed upon him to do out of loyalty to the state, and for this he follows the example of the ministry

  4. of the exalted vizierate, may God fortify its glory. The slave showed 

  5. his servants the letter he received from the exalted presence, may it perpetuate [    ] its glory

  6. ] what you mentioned about his query that cannot be responded to in written correspondence

  2. ولما [[تحقق]] عرف المملوك حسن النية وجميل الراي وشريف الاصطناع

  3. رغب الى مكارمة حضرته السامية زاد الله في جلالتها

  4. وثبت مجدها فيما يفتخر به مما تقدمت به المواعيد الصادقة

  5. من التنويه بذكره والتشريف له والزيادة فيما [[يفتخر]] يتجمل به

  6. على من تقدمه من امرا اليمن الذي تقدم اصتناع الدولة

  7. لهم وعبيده يشرحوا له [[ثبت]] ادام الله سلطانه

  8. في ذلك ما القاه المملوك لهم فهو والله معدا نفسه

  9. فان كان من [[امرايك]] امرا العرب مملوكا له متصرفا

  10.  [                                 ] تلحظه به

  1. [ ] my most glorious lord

  2. When the slave [[established]] learnt of the good intention, the kind view and the noble patronage,

  3. he desired to show reverence to his lofty presence, may God increase its glory

  4. and establish his magnificence, for his glorious actions of the past through which he honourably achieved

  5. celebrity and distinction and more [[glorious]] fine qualities

  6. than the preceding amīrs of Yemen who have been appointed previously by the

  7. government.

  8. His slaves will relate to him - may God [[establish]] cause his rule to endure - what the slave has charged them with concerning this, for he, by God, is prepared. 

  9. If he has among [your amīrs]] the amīrs of the Arabs a slave who is at his disposal

  10. [ ] his adherence to him (?).

  3. وستعلم حضرة الوزارة المجيدة كبت الله عدوها اذن

  4. قد استعد المملوك بعنايتها وملاحظتها ما يظهر من طاعته

  5. ويبين من نهضته//بمشية الله// وكفايته ويسدها

  1. Between his command and forbiddance, does not see that anyone among the state officials has received the patronage as he

  2. Nor has bequeathed such favour in this glorious age.

  3. I would like to inform the exalted presence of the vizierate, may God doom its enemy, that

  4. the slave has made preparations through the continued grace and observation of the vizerate such that it demonstrates his obedience

  5. and ascertains his tenacity //by the will of God/ and his succor…..
