Letter from Khalaf b. Muḥammad(?) al-Ṭarābulsī (the Tripolitan), unknown location, to Abū l-Fakhr b. Ibrāhīm, in Fustat, in the perfumers' market (sūq al-ʿaṭṭārīn). In Arabic script. Dating: Probably 11th or 12th century. On the front (verso), only the basmala, the first line, and some of the marginal text are preserved. On the back (recto), only the last few lines of the letter and the address are preserved. The content is probably mercantile. Mentions Abū l-Qāsim (recto, right margin) and includes greetings to various people such as Ṣāliḥ and Abū l-Manṣūr. There might be one word in Hebrew script on the back, but the tops of the letters are torn away, so it is hard to be sure.
