Letter to Yiṣḥaq Ḥevroni on financial matters. Dated: 1559 CE [?]. This date from FGP is likely incorrect given that the month listed is Shawwāl and the FGP metadata lists it as a Jewish-calendar year "שיט" AM. This reading is not feasible given that the ש in the month Shawwāl (שוואל) does not match the letter in question from the same line in the heading. This year ought to be read instead as a Ḥijrī date, perhaps 919, 1019, or 1119 AH. Of the three options 919 AH seems most likely (1513/14 CE), but the scribal hand could be 16th-18th-century. Further examination is required to identify the first letter in the alphanumerical year. MCD.
