Unnamed Enslaved Person 5

Description / Bio

Enslaved woman mentioned in a court case resulting from Sitt al-Fakhr bt. ʿAmram ha-Levi's allegations that certain medical conditions (described as "defects") were not disclosed at the time of sale. Sitt al-Fakhr alledges that the sellers, ʿEli b. Eliyya he-Ḥaver and his wife Khulla bt. Yosef ha-Kohen, only disclosed that the enslaved woman had an eye-related condition when she was sold (rather than multiple medical conditions).
