Legal document. In Arabic script. Fragment of a contract made before a Muslim notary about a bible (al-Tawrāh) codex containing twenty-four "books" (sifr). The parties are [...] al-Maqdisī and [...] al-Isrāʾīlī whose father is known as Muʿallim al-Yahūd (the teacher of the Jews). (Information in part from Goitein’s index card)
