Description

Beginning of a polite but strong letter to a certain Shelomo concerning communcal matters. Mentions the breaking up of property belonging to the legal cases of Ibn Ḥassān and Ibn Banūna (?). Dating: no earlier than 1425 CE, since it mentions the currency ashrafī which was first minted under Sultan al-Ashraf Barsbay in that year. (Information from CUDL and Goitein's index card.)
