Description

Letter consisting of a dirge, sent from Nahray b. Natan to the judge Avraham b. Natan Av Bet Din (Avraham is here called "Yesod ha-Yeshiva"). The dirge is for the head of a 'Midrash' - possibly the Rav or Nahray b. Nissim. Goitein writes, "the dirge is particularly inept." Dating: late 11th or early 12th century.
