Description

Part of a draft deed of indemnity, dated 1342 Seleucid (= 1030/31 CE), in which the woman Ḥusn bt. Mawhūb, releases her husband, Netanʾel b. Yefet, from his responsibility for her dowry, as he has given her complete control over it. The contents of the dowry, totaling 540 dinars and including a house, are listed in twenty lines of Judaeo-Arabic on the verso. (Information from CUDL. See also Goitein's index card.)
