Description

Legal document. Bill of divorce. Dated: 18 Kislev 1341 (26 November 1029). This Qaraite bill of divorce is one of forty under the T-S 10J2 shelfmark. The divorce is between Ṣedaqa b. Mūsā and Umm al-Khayr bt. Mūsā. The witnesses are Ṣedaqa b. Naḥūm ha-Kohen and Wahab b. Avraham, though neither of them were the scribe of the document. On the verso is a note in Arabic script regarding Umm al-Khayr returning engagement gifts. (Information from Goitein's index card)
