Description

Long ‘letter’ of apology and appeal (the writer is trying to justify himself), possibly addressed to Mar Yosef, with reference to the story of ʿAkhan b. Zeraḥ (Joshua 7), and citations such as Psalms 94:9. Goitein describes it as "ten pages of highly abstract complaint about neglect by a highly placed person whom the writer had faithfully served."
