Description

Recto: Upper part of a letter from Shemuel ha-Kohen b. Yosef to a judge of Alexandria regarding a dwelling (this is the only word concerning the content of the letter preserved.) The writer (good hand), probably a cantor in a town near Alexandria, must have been close to the judge, for his wife prays for Sitt Nu'aym who had trouble with her feet.
