Description

Upper part of a decorated ketubba. Location: Cairo: Dated: 2[.] Kislev 5327 AM = December 1566 CE. Bride: Raḥel bt. [...] the widow and [...] b. Mikhaʾel Viroṭi (בר מיכאל וירוטי [...]). The lower part of the document and names of witnesses are not preserved. Dowry lists values in בנאדקה (bunduqs, Venetian sequins(?)). The border of the document is highly decorated and illuminated with green, gold, and red ink. (Information from CUDL.)
