Description

Letter sent to Alexandria, mentioning Abū Manṣūr al-Mashmiaʿ (אלמשמיע), Abū l-Munā (vocalised אלמֻנֵי), and Yaʿqūb/Yaʿaqov b. Banīn. Mentions the payment of the capitation tax. Addressed to a 'brother.' The sender has been unemployed as a stranger in his location without livelihood for two months, and he regrets his departure (באני פי אתר וצולי לח[קני?] נדמה עלי כרוגי מנכם כתיר ובקית יאכי באן(?) מוחש גריב בטאל בלא רזק נחו אלשהרין ואנא אליום נרגו רחמה אללה וחדיתי פי אלגאליה . . . ) (Information in part from CUDL.)
