  3. al-Amshāṭī, (our ) ma(ster) and t(eacher) Saʿadya the elder son of (our) m(aster) and t(eacher) Avraham the precious elder (who) r(ests in) E(den)
  4. served as collector of the mezonot during the middle third of the month of Kislev of the year 1473
  5. of (the Era of) Contracts in Fustat, Egypt,
  6. which sits on the Nile River, under the a[uthority] of his excellency, the precious,
  7. the garland, the splendor, his honor, greatnes[s], and hol[iness] our (master) and teacher, the uniqu[e] in his generation,
  8. our prince, prince of God in our midst, our lord Nethanel ha-Levi,
  9. “Israel’s chariots and horsemen” (2 Kings 2:12), may his name live forever. Accordingly we wrote our signatures on the
