Description

Memorial list for several families in the hand of Mevorakh b. Natan, including one person who was martyred and at least four who died young. Opens with the late Natan ha-Sheviʿi and his son Avraham b. Natan called Ḥemdat ha-Yeshiva; then Yosef ha-Sar and his son the physician Netanʾel b. Yosef; then Yaʿaqov ha-Levi and his three sons, Muvḥar b. Yaʿaqov, Ṭoviyya b. Yaʿaqov (martyred), and Menashshe b. Yaʿaqov; then Natan and his sons Avraham b. Natan (died young); then Yosef and his son Saʿadya b. Yosef (died young); then Moshe ha-Levi and his family; then Moshe and his son Yeshuʿa b. Moshe (died young); then Menaḥem and his son Ṣedaqa b. Menaḥem, and his son Yefet, and his son(?) Yefet (died young). Concludes with blessings for the longevity of Ḥalfon and his sons Netanʾel b. Ḥalfon and Menashshe b. Ḥalfon; likewise for Yeshuʿa ha-Levi ha-Rofeʾ; and Yefet ha-Levi, Yaʾir ha-Levi, and Natan and his two sons. (Information in part from Goitein's index card.)
