Letter JRL B 8588Description
Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. The hand may be known (India trade related?). May refer to owing somebody a rose-colored cooking vessel (? ṭājin warda); something else, one big and one small (ṣaghīra is written with a samekh, סגירה); someone named Ḥassūn; on verso there are greetings to "her children" followed by the intriguing phrase "at the time I went up to the fleet (al-jihāz; the word also looks like "al-jihād" but this seems much less plausible); other travelers; and reference to witnessing a legal transaction in the margin.
