Description

Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic in a highly-trained scribal hand on recto. Dated Rabīʿ al-Awwal [9]64 AH (January 1557 CE). The heading states that the accounts are in the name of a certain Ḥayyīm Ḥefeṣ in connection with a market ([?]סוק אלאגנב= international/foreign market). The accounts on the verso are in a different scribal hand. MCD.
