Description
Writing exercises in epistolary Judaeo-Arabic in which the student repeated a phrase in the heading that had been offered by an instructor in model handwriting. This exercise follows a format that is common in educational materials from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries– some of which even feature the names of pupils in the heading ("Menashe" appears here but it is unclear if it should be read as a firstname or surname).
