Description

Contract for the lease of a shop belonging to a waqf (pious foundation) established by Sīdī Sulṭān Shāh. The shop is leased to the pharmacist/perfumer Isḥāq Al-Yahūdī. The document is witnessed by Ayyūb al-Bazzāz. Dating: mentions a period ending with what looks like Dhū l-Qaʿda 809 AH = April/May 1407 CE if correct. (Information in part from CUDL.)
