Description

Fragment of a legal document preserving one signature, Saadya b. Mevorakh (likely the son of the Nagid, Mevorakh b. Saadya, d. 1111), with the court's confirmation of the witness signatures below. One of the judges is Natan b. Shemuel he-Ḥaver (dated documents 1128-1164 CE). Description from PGPID 9488: End of a legal document signed by Mevorakh b. Sar Shalom and Seʿadya b. [...] (Seʿadya's name is torn away). Underneath there is a validation, including the formula יהא היא בגופה ובממונה, signed by David ha-Paliṭ ("the refugee") b. Yosef and Ḥiyya b. [...].
