Description

State document, in Arabic script. Fragment of a petition addressed to al-Ḥāfiẓ ʿAbd al-Majīḍ (1132–49). Apart from the opening formula and the blessings on the ruler, not a lot of content is preserved. On verso there is a calendar in Hebrew script with the molads for two different maḥzors; the date range could probably be identified with effort, but the numbers of the maḥzors are missing.
