Description

Accounts related to real estate rentals and other properties in Cairo. Dated on the recto as 1 Heshvan 5319 AM which is 1558. This reading is confirmed by the date Elul 5318 AM on the right side of the bifolio. There are a variety of names listed: (recto) Shelomo Ṣarfatī, Qamr bt. Yahuda, the wide of Ben-Shanjī, Meʾīr Marḥayyīm/Mar-Ḥayyīm, (verso) the widow of "Aba Mārī" (perhaps the scribe's parents), Avraham b. Yiṣḥaq. There are entries on the recto and verso relating to bathhouses. MCD.
