Recto

  1. In (Your) na(me), (O) Mer(ciful One).

  2. This is the calculation of the hours and their names ...

  3. The first of them is Ḥama, which is the Sun. When the questioner comes

  4. in the hour of the Sun, it is fortunate. If asked about

  5. a sick person, know that his illness is fever, heat, and distress

  6. upon his heart. Know that he is afflicted by sorcery or a bit of

  7. madness or the like. He will recover, if God wills. If

  8. you are asked about a need, know that you are asked about

  9. a ruler or a noble person who has money or

  10. a fine, or buried treasure. He is a person from whom one obtains

  11. good. If it is a woman, she would like

  12. a cure regarding pregnancy or marriage, and (is?) someone who asks about theft

  13. and about someone absent. This is the description of the Sun.

  14. When a questioner comes to you in the hour of Venus, then it is

  15. fortunate. He asks you about a woman who is ill, and

  16. her illness is from sleeplessness, pain in her heart, pain

  17. in her head, and women's ailments, and she wants

  18. to expel what is in her belly from adultery, and she complains of

  19. her kidneys and has coldness, and she is very

  20. lustful, and it is said about her that she is envied and her flesh is consumed
