Description
Fragment of a late legal document, signed Yaʿaqov ha-Kohen, probably a ketubba for [...] b. Ḥayyim and [...] bt. Moshe. The bride was previously unmarried based on the mention of the essential bridal payment as "בתוליכי כסף זוזי". The last digit of the AM year is probably 8, therefore, this leaves a range of the following dates within the estimated timespan of Yaʿaqov ha-Kohen's scribal career between 1790-1840 CE: 5558 AM, 5568 AM, 5578 AM, 5588 AM, 5598 AM.
