Description

Bottom of a letter in Hebrew. From the community of בעלת (possibly Qiryat Yeʿarim, based on Joshua 15:9) thanking at least one dignitary for his intervention on their behalf. Refers to the arrival of a decree (nishtevan) and somebody who "told us some of the kindness and benefaction you did with us and with him." The letter concludes with blessings for the addressee(s). There are also three words in Arabic on verso; the first two appear to be ʿuṣāra barbārīs = barberry juice.
