Description

Business letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Fragment. Dating: 11th century. The sender excuses himself from something on account of his illness (ḍuʿfī) and worry (shughl sirrī). Mentions Abū l-Faraj Ibn Qayyūma, who appears also in ENA 3793.6 (PGPID 9564) ca. 1050 CE. Mentions having purchased something "and all I received was 60 dinars and 1000 dirhams." On verso mentions having been asked to purchase wheat and clothing "for them and for the infant girl"
