Description

Two short fragments of a legal document (or prescriptive text?) in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe (fl. 1100–1138 CE) that contain instructions for conducting a marriage ceremony. The fragments might be a part of a Responsum. It is possible that the two parts connect but that is not certain. But both certainly belong to the same manuscript. "And one should drink from the bowl... and a ketubba does not need to be written..." Each of the two parts contains five lines and when connected they make eight lines. The complete document contained additional lines. | signifies the place were the two fragment connect. (Information from Ashur dissertation)
