Description

Legal document, in an elegant hand, concerning a property transaction. In Arabic script. A woman named اخيوه bt. Saʿīd, the Rabbanite Jewish woman, who is dark of color and short of stature, grants (mallakat) something to somebody. Mentions something to do with "drugs and almond oil in Cairo" (في العطر وفي دهن اللوز في القاهرة المحروسة), an entire compound (الدار الكاملة), something to do with the government ([...] sulṭānīyan) dated the 27th of Shaʿbān, 3/4 of something (probably the compound), and then probably a description of the property. Towards the end of the document, there are vestiges of red ink in eccentric circles, probably a seal? [same as T-S NS 306.244 (PGPID 25210)]. On verso there is a very faded addendum. Needs further examination.
