Description

Verso: Official correspondence. Approximately 7 lines are preserved. Dating: likely ca. first half of the 12th century, based on the dating of recto. Mentions news of a letter from Ḥisn al-Dawla b. ʿĀrij(?) to his son and his companions which recognized gratitude for a service provided and promised a disbursement of funds from the treasury (وانه موعود باطلاق من الخزانة). The spaces between the lines are filled with letter(s) or draft(s) to a dignitary in a different and smaller hand, mainly in Arabic script with some Judaeo-Arabic.
