Description

Verso (original use): Letter fragment. Looks like the hand of Hillel b. ʿEli. This is from the end of the letter. Tells the addressee to inform Abū l-Ḥasan ha-Talmid the son of the ḥaver that his father has sent one letter with Kirām b. Yosef the in-law of the cantor Manṣūr and a second letter with Maṣliaḥ; Abū l-Ḥasan should receive the two letters and act accordingly to 'help our colleagues'; this is what his father wants from him. Greetings from the addressee's father and siblings. Tells the addressee to give instructions to Shibl about if he should want to travel, something about the capitation tax. Reused on recto for a (dowry?) list (see separate record).
