Description

Business letter. In Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: 11th century, on paleographic grounds. The handwriting resembles that of Ismāʿīl b. Faraḥ (cf. T-S 13J16.19 (PGPID 5888)). Mentions that Ibn Laskandar (= (a)l-Iskandar) set sail (l. 10), a figure known from several other contemporary letters. Might mention Sidon in the next line. Verso contains a basmala in Arabic script. Merits further examination.
