Description

Recto: Deed of acknowledgment (iqrār) from the Mamluk period in Arabic script written on paper, by al-muʿallim Ibrāhīm b. ʿAfīf b. Sulaymān al-Yahūdī. Involves sums of money and commodities (raṭl on line 6) in al-wazn al-miṣrī. In the top left margin: شرعبا اقرار؟. There is an additional line in the right margin and a witness attestation. Verso: Legal document in Arabic script related to the one on the recto. Opens with "Aḥāla l-muʿallim" (?) and repeats the name Ibrāhīm b. ʿAfīf b. Sulaymān al-Yahūdī on line 3. There is an additional document in the margin, which is an ishhād of the same muʿallim that he received something. This document is dated Jumādā I 7.. or 6.. (AP)
