Description

Deed of acknowledgment (iqrār). In Arabic script. Dated (ll. 4–5): 20 Shaʿbān 441 AH = 17 January 1050 CE.The muqirr is the sharīf Abū l-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad b. al-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad. A large portion is preserved: 22 full lines from the top of the document, with the bottom of the document missing. Merits examination. Reused on verso for Hebrew liturgy (the ʿamida for the high holidays), written in distinctive handwriting and with numerous orthographical errors.
