Description

Question to Muslim jurisconsults. In Arabic script. Concerning a case of inheritance. The last two lines contain the names of two apparently deceased people: Isḥāq [...] and Abū ʿAlī b. Abū l-Surrī the teacher ("raḍiya l-lāhu ʿanhumā"). A partial transcription is as follows: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ما يقولوا سادتى الشيوخ اطال الله بقاهم [وادام عزهم] وتاييدهم في رجل مات وخلفه …واخت [ ]امراته وامته واخت من امه لا من امه(؟) وابو اخت ماتت قبل وبعده [ ]من يستحق الميراث على يده(؟) المعلم ابو علي والمعلم ابو السرور رضي الله عنهما وعلى يد ………..في ملته(؟) الر..لة On verso there is a Hebrew dirge. Needs further examination.
