Description

Partnership agreement between Avraham Yaʿabeṣ/Yuʿbaṣ and Shimʿon ʿEzrī, duration 24 months. Location: Cairo (מצרים). Dated Elul 5563 AM which is 1803 CE. The partnership is complex, mentioning a variety of other legal parties: the deceased Yahuda Mizraḥī (l. 7), Yaʿaqov Ben-Hīnī, a resident of Jerusalem (ll. 8-9), R. Shabbetay Skandarī (l. 9), and Yaʿaqov Raṣon (l. 10). The scribal/witness signature of Meʾīr b. Shalom Ben-Naʿīm appears to the right of Shimʿon ʿEzrī and Yaʿaqov Kohen. MCD.
