Description

Fragment from the beginning of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: Likely Ayyubid-era. Opens with a taqbīl. Mentions "that he went . . . to Cairo"; a delay or obstacle, "the blessed tazkiya" (tazkiya in Geniza documents usually means medical license); "...in it the physician, in the opinion of his excellence our Rabbi..."; "as for the obtaining of the tazkiya..." (Information in part from CUDL.) On verso there is some unrelated text in Hebrew and Arabic.
