Description

Recto: fragment of a legal document, in the hand of Hillel b. ʿEli (fl. 1066–1108 CE). Refers to a deceased man; the town of Farsīs (near Minyat Zifta?); and a little house in Minyat Zifta. There are two towns named Farsīs in present-day Egypt, one in Sharqīya and the other Gharbīya. Verso: tails and parts of bowls of large Arabic letters, probably from an official document.
