  3. صح للشيخ ابى حسن بن افرایم بن محفوظ عن الحكر بقصر الشمع لشهر ربيع الاول
  4. وشهر ربيع الاخر سنة تسع وثلثين واربعمائة       من العين ربع دينار

  6. وكتب اسمعيل بن ضيا عن نسخة سلم الشهود فى جمدى الاخرة من السنة المذكورة

  1. Praise be to God alone.
  2. In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
  3. A valid record has been made for the elder 'Abū Ḥasan ibn ʾEfrayim ibn Maḥfūẓ (releasing him) from the ground rent in the Fortress of the Candles for the month of Rabīʿ I 
  4. and the month Rabīʿ II of the year four-hundred and thirty-nine. One quarter of a dīnār, in cash. 
  5. Half of this is 1/8.
  6. Written by ʾIsmaʿīl ibn Ḍiyāʾ from a copy submitted by the witnesses in Jumādā II of the aforementioned year.
