Description

Story in Judaeo-Arabic. Long but quite faded. Might be a legal document in that it begins with ("lammā...") but it would be an unusual sort of a legal document. The narrator says that one evening he was sitting in his shop when he saw a man who appeared to be begging for money. He gave him some dirhams and seems to have realized that this was an old friend of his, who informs him that he has been in prison for 7 years. The remainder of the story is quite damaged and requires further examination. (Information in part from CUDL)
