  2. if God wills. 
  3. They have registered the amount of two and a half. 
  4. Praise be to God, with the praise of those who give thanks. 
  5. In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
  6. A valid receipt has been granted to ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ibn Wahb for the sum owed through his standing surety for the estates in the town of al-Fayyūm for the year four-hundred and five,
  7. under the supervision of the auspicious, rightly-guided judge, Ṯiqat al-Mulk Makīn al-Dawla wa-ʾAmīnuhā, 
  8. the protégé of the commander of the faithful, ʾAbū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Bahār, and in the presence of the judge Ṣafī al-Dawla
  9. ʿAbd al-Majīd ibn Ḥasan, the agent of the office of inspection, with the elder 
  10. Sadīd al-Dawla ʾAbū al-Faraj ʿAbd al-Masīḥ ibn Qūrīl acting as accountant. 
  11. Half of this: One and a quarter. Its amount: Two and a half.
  12. Written by Yuḥanna ibn Mīḵāʾīl on behalf of his father Mīḵāʾīl ibn ʿAbd al-Masīḥ, the cashier. Valid.
  13. The twenty seventh of Ṣafar, in the year four-hundred and five.
